Jessica Marie Alba is an American tv and film actress. She started her tv and movie appearances at age 13 in Camp Nowhere and The Secret World of Alex Mack. Alba rose to prominence as the lead actress in the television series Dark Angel.Alba later appeared in different films including Honey (2003), Sin City(2005), Fantastic Four(2005), Into the Blue (2005), Wonderful Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck each in 2007.

Alba is viewed as a sex symbol and often generates media focus for her looks. She appears often on the “Hot 100” section of Maxim and was voted number a single on AskMen.com’s list of “99 Most Desirable Females” in 2006, as effectively as “Sexiest Woman in the Planet” by FHM in 2007. The use of her image on the cover of the March 2006 Playboy sparked a lawsuit by her, which was later dropped. She has also won different awards for her acting, such as the Selection Actress Teen Decision Award and Saturn Award for Greatest Actress on Tv, and a Golden Globe nomination for her lead function in the television series Dark Angel
